TIFFANY TRAN, Co-President
Tiffany is currently a part of the sustainability team at Annie's Inc. A few of her primary focuses include supply chain sustainability, CSR reporting, and employee engagement. Tiffany is passionate about empowering corporations and individuals to embrace environmental stewardship and social responsibility. She is committed to making an impact and driving environmental and social change.
Tiffany received her degrees in Environmental Science and Environmental Economics & Policy at UC Berkeley. In her free time, Tiffany loves to run, snowboard, travel, and practice photography.
LAUREN WHETSTONE, Co-President
Lauren is currently an Associate Client Analyst at Millward Brown Digital. Prior to this, she interned at a variety of organizations including Google, Ceres, and Mail Health. Lauren is passionate about leveraging data to create social and environmental impact.
Lauren graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in International Affairs, as well as minors in History and Social Entrepreneurship.
DANIEL HERAS, Vice President & Finance
A native to East Los Angeles, Daniel is a dedicated systems thinking entrepreneur, with over 10 years of combined experience in architecture, design, financial analysis, operations, energy management, stakeholder engagement, community development and organizational leadership. Daniel strives to apply his practical skills and experience to new and innovative business development. He is committed to taking on social justice problems with creativity and empathy - and is always looking to work on new high impact disruptive work.
Daniel holds an M.B.A. from Presidio Graduate School and a B.A. in Architecture from UC Berkeley, and was an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow with the City of Austin in 2013.
RACHEL CHANG, Analytics Chair
Rachel Chang is a Product Manager at Kiva.org, the online platform connecting millions through micro-lending. She works closely with Kiva's corporate partners to build out projects for employee engagement programs and Kiva's engineering and analytics teams to create a better infrastructure for reporting and data analytics.
Rachel graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Business Administration at Haas, a concentration in Engineering Leadership, and a minor in Energy & Resources. Rachel was also part of the Net Impact chapter at Cal for 4 years, where she served as President and VP of Project Development. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball (and rooting for the Warriors!), bouldering and cross-fit.
MAKELY LYON, Analytics Chair
Makely is passionate about corporate sustainability, particularly innovation in products and processes towards a closed loop model of production, use and reuse. In her work, Makely has consulted for businesses and government entities on strategy, operations, sourcing and sustainability topics.
Makely holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where she served on the Ross Net Impact leadership team, and an MS from Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and the Environment. She received her BA in Economics and Environmental Policy from Middlebury College. Makely enjoys running, hiking and exploring new places throughout California and around the globe.
CRISTINA NICOARA, NI Local Chair
Ever since helping to found and lead the undergraduate chapter of Net Impact on the UC Berkeley campus, Cristina has found a passion for CSR and fostering partnerships with organizations, businesses and non-profits focused on the triple bottom line.
Cristina is excited to continue building external relationships to enable like-minded individuals the opportunity to network, give back, and make an impact in their professional environments. Fun fact: Cristina is fluent in Romanian, and you will find her hiking, swimming, and biking across the Bay Area!
CLAIRE KAUFMAN, NI Local & Partnerships Chair
Claire is the Continuing Education Director and the Project Manager at A Home Within. A Home Within provides pro-bono psychotherapy to foster youth around the nation. Before working at A Home Within she was the National Campus Coordinator at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, where she helped college students around the nation plan successful suicide prevention walks. Claire has worked in the nonprofit sector for over six years, and is planning to use the skills she has gained from the nonprofit sector to enter the corporate social responsibility space.
When Claire isn’t working she enjoys open water swimming in the bay, running, and hanging out with friends around Oakland’s beautiful Lake Merritt. Claire graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.S. in Nonprofit Management and Communications.
TRACY AKASHI, Partnerships Chair
Tracy currently works in the Internal Audit group at Salesforce, where she has been involved with the Salesforce Foundation group, leading and planning events to raise money and awareness for local nonprofits. Prior to working at Salesforce, Tracy held multiple Finance positions at NetApp. Tracy is passionate about corporate social responsibility, and believes that companies should have a sense of responsibility for both the environment and community in which they operate.
When she isn't working, you can find her playing tennis, attending hockey games (GO SHARKS), hiking, watching Survivor, learning to code, or enjoying the beautiful city of San Francisco. Tracy graduated from Santa Clara University and has a B.S. in Finance.
TANVI PRADHAN, Partnerships Chair
Tanvi is a sustainable investments professional, and is responsible for integrating Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into investment strategies and portfolios at the SRI Wealth Management Group in RBC Wealth Management. She also works on team strategy, partnerships, marketing, and manager research among other things. Tanvi has previously worked as Research Assistant - Divestment at the SF State University Foundation, where she developed a carbon footprint model for equity portfolios, and as a trader at Barclays Investment Bank in Hong Kong.
Tanvi has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, India. She also pursued a second MBA from the San Francisco State University (SFSU) to study sustainable business. Tanvi has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Pune, India.
WILLIAM SU, Partnerships Chair
Will Su is a business analyst at FibroGen. Will was first introduced to Net Impact in college when he worked on achieving the AshokaU Changemaker Campus designation for Claremont McKenna College. Since then he has served as a Hult Prize at Campus Director and hosted a Climate Leadership Conference in collaboration with Defend Our Future and the Environmental Defense Fund. He had the honor of winning a competition at the 2015 Net Impact Conference in Seattle, enabling him to go on the inaugural social impact trip to the Dominican Republic with Fathom. Will is excited to build strategic partnerships for Net Impact San Francisco.
Will holds a BA from Claremont McKenna College of Science and Management (Biotechnology track) with a sequence in Leadership Studies. Will is also a Kravis Fellow at the Kravis Leadership Institute.
DYLAN BERRY, Supporting Advisor
Dylan Berry is working as an environmental consultant for Partner Engineering & Science, a growing environmental/engineering firm, where he focuses on real estate due diligence and environmental risk management. Equally comfortable in a suit or steel toes, Dylan is a pro at collecting, analyzing, and communicating data to various user groups.
Prior to joining Net Impact San Francisco , Dylan was a member of the Bard Center for Environmental Policy’s C2C Fellowship program, where he made a name for himself by winning the Bay Area Sustainable Solutions Pitch Competition. You can find him backpacking down at Channel Islands National Park, or pinching avocados at the Rainbow Grocery Food Co-op.
TIFFANY DOUGLASS, Supporting Advisor
Tiffany Douglass has diverse experience in sustainability, marketing, and business development strategies for corporate, non-profit, and social enterprises. As an active community leader, she focuses primarily on developing communications about values-driven business. Now as part of San Francisco Professional Leadership Team, Tiffany chairs member recruitment engagement, and satisfaction. Tiffany has found her "tribe" at Net Impact and values being surrounded by like-minded change makers.
Tiffany obtained her BA from University of Mary Washington and her GreenMBA in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University of California where she lead the Net Impact graduate chapter for 2 years and received an Environmental Stewardship Scholarship.
